The Happiest Place on Earth/First Big Couples Trip — Walt Disney World, FL

Walt Disney World, FL

So this has been a rough week for Lindsay, but nothing turns life around like a trip to FREAKING DISNEY WORLD!!!!! This is going to be an amazing, spontaneous, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, and obviously magical 4 days. Get pumped!!

Lindsay-This trip was absolutely awesome! Here's a rundown of what we did:

  • Saturday
    • 7 am flight (got up around 3:45 wooo!)
    • Landed around 10 am!
    • Met Alyssa and KGH at the airport, and went to perkins for breakfast/lunch
    • Went to Magic Kingdom and found Dave as well!
    • Went on the People Mover ride, Space Mountain, Buzz lightyear, and a few others
    • Saw Wishes at night
    • Had a fantastic time with Sean
    • Wanted more alone time ;)
    • Went to JellyRolls, a dueling piano bar-so cool!
    • Was superrrrrr tired, but worth it
  • Sunday
    • We went to Hollywood studios (old MGM)
    • Went on Tower of Terror twice
    • Went on rocking roller coaster
    • Saw a bunch of shows and attractions (Star wars, Indiana Jones, Stunts)
    • Saw Fantasmic (So good!)
  • Monday
    • Slept in! And went to Epcot =] before beginning our drinking and eating around the world (part 2 for Sean)
    • Had SO MUCH good food and drinks (maybe one too many...=P)
    • Got upset because Sean couldn't drunkenly appreciate a grade B guinness (What an ass)
    • Finished all 29 countries (not sure if I should be proud or scared. I think proud)
    • Came back and Sean and I hung out by the pool for a while ourselves (second favorite part of the trip)
    • Went to bed!
  • Tuesday
    • G ot up early (who thought that was a good idea after Epcot??) and went to Animal Kingdom
    • Rode Everest!! And the ride with the safari, and a few others
    • KGH left for her flight, so Sean and I went to Epcot for some more food and beer (Because we didn't have enough the day before...) and had some great beer-grapefruit beer, oktoberfest, and a few dark beers. AND had a grade B guinness which he liked!
    • Had some awesome quality time together
    • Got ready to go back home
I'd still have to say my two favorite parts of the trip were the flight over when we played war (I'm purposefully leaving out the part where he won the bet later on...) and our night hanging out by the pool. I also loved Epcot and having time together both during eating/drinking around the world, and our afternoon there alone together.

All in all, this trip gave me great insight into how much I appreciate us as a couple. I know that travelling with someone is hard; and that a lot of times, trips show flaws in a relationship, or show that you can't spend that much alone time together. I think for us it was the exact opposite-I wanted MORE time just with Sean, and had the most fun and felt the most myself when it was just the two of us, or when we were walking together a bit behind everyone. Of course there were a few group dynamic things to work out, but I really had a ton of fun, and I am so excited for future trips for us together.

Love, Lindsay
