Liverpool Set Sights On £8m Goal Machine to Strengthen Anfield Attack
Liverpool will reportedly make an £8m offer for Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony as Brendan Rodgers looks at option to boost his threadbare attack according to CalcioMercato.
The 23 year old Ivory Coast international is the top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie having netted 14 goals already this term to help push his side up among the big guns in Holland's top tier.
Bony's powerful approach may well work in the Premier League and whilst the striker has yet to prove himself in one of Europe's big leagues Rodgers will have been impressed by the form he has displayed over the past 18 months and at £8m it seems a calculated risk well worth making.
Liverpool have once again had to overly-rely on Luis Suarez for an end product and the Uruguayan has not been found wanting, scoring ten Premier League goals to make him the top scorer in the division.
