First night out in Sydney — Sydney, Australia
Friday:
we met Molly around 1 in town to get some lunch and decide what to do. I found
my new subway here, it's called 'Pieface' get a full meal for $10 - Ads, you'd
love it mate. We went to do some shopping as we all had things to get, the
girls went cloths shopping, and I pretty much left straight away as it wasn't particularly
exciting. So I got some stuff I needed and headed back to get my ID for the
night. I got in about 4.30 and Johnny said he was going to pick up the kids get
takeout and watch an Australian film (I think he wants me to be cultured about
Oz - which a think I am a lot more now). So I decided to stay in while the
girls went out, but we were going out the next day so I didn't mind. Johnny got
me and the kids a kebab, which was so nice and watch a film about Western
Australia
Saturday:
I got a call from Abs around 11; we decided to go to Bondi beach... good
decision! It was gorgeous. We sunbathed, went in the sea, got a few beers and
chatted. It was quality. We headed back to Molly's in Alexandria. This was
really cool as I hadn’t been to that part of Sydney yet. We got some drinks and
headed out. They took me to this club Scary Canary, where they went the night
before. It started as quite an eventful night, this smashed Irish dude tried to
give me cocaine and threatened to beat me up, then I had to pay $10 to get in,
even though the girls got in for free (annoying I know). But it was worth it. The
club/bar was wicked. It was really busy, there was fake snow, and we had a
really fun night out! Can't wait for the next one.
Sunday:
We woke up at 11, which was wayyyy to early! Had some breakfast and planned to
go to Coogee beach, but the bus was full so we headed to Bondi again (can't
complain). It was packed, as it was nearly 30 degrees and a Sunday. We found a
spot and while the girls sunbathed I went for a walk to the end of the beach,
and it was such a nice view, as it over looked the whole of Bondi beach - you
can see the pictures. Then we headed back to our houses, Abby and I were
shattered and just had some pizza and watched Bourne. I skyped Ryan, which is
always a laugh! We caught up on each other's gap year plans. As he's coming
down the east coast I'll be going up and we'll meet at some point along the
coast. The highlight was when I persuaded him to come in a cage with sharks
with me, so buzzing! Anyway I'll keep you posted.
