Home Sweet Home — Canberra (suburb of Monash), Australia

Canberra (suburb of Monash), Australia

We were up, packed and ready to go at 9am ... got some fuel and then headed off down the Sturt Highway towards Wagga Wagga, and home! After stopping at Wagga Wagga to put some air in the tyres and Gloria Jeans (fuel in the tank!!!) we pushed on through Gundagai and then Yass to our home in Canberra.

As far as the weather was concerned we ended how we had begun ... cloudy and rainy ... which was ok because we had been abundantly blessed with fine weather for the rest of the time.

We arrived home to our very "talkative" cat, Blackjack, along with my parents who had been house/cat sitting for us.

This was this first time we had done this kind of "pack up and travel" kind of holiday and we have learnt a some lessons about what we like/don't like about this. We were very happy with our setup and will only make minor changes/additions.

I think we are all truly blessed to live in such a wide and diverse country ... of both people and landscapes. To see areas where European Pioneers first explored, as well as understand that Indigenous Australians were living and thriving there before them, was truly amazing and inspiring.

We travelled 3882km in 13 days ... where will the next adventure be?
