Meet EarPods, Your New Apple Headphones
After three years of designing new earphones for its mobile products,Appleunveiled on Wednesday what it is calling EarPods, created to intentionally direct sound right into the ear.
The EarPods -- which are available now in the Apple Store -- will ship with the new iPod touchand iPhone 5.
Resembling little periscopes, EarPods feature sound ports built into the stem, as well as the sides.
It's been rumored that Apple has been working on new headphones. In fact, the company filed for a patent earlier this year for “vented in-the-ear headphones,” which aim to cut back on the echoes you might hear of your voice while making phone calls.
